Há Terra no Sangue is a video-poem, both an ode to and a lament of Home. Can you simultaneously be from somewhere and not be from there? Elies Vaer goes back to her childhood home in Brazil in search of a Home. Instead she finds the place and herself changed and estranged through time, distance and language. With a loving eye Elies collects new memories and impressions, primarily in and around Bar da Dada, a small bar owned by Dada on the outskirts of the village, where she is always welcomed home and still seen as the little blonde girl that left twenty years ago.
